Castle View homeowners, friends, families and staff have raised over £400 for Save the Children at this year’s Christmas Jumper Day coffee morning, topping last year’s fantastic £300 total and adding even more festive sparkle to the season.
The colourful event once again brought the community together in support of children who need it most, both in the UK and around the world.
Festive fun for a vital cause
Christmas Jumper Day is Save the Children’s nationwide fundraiser, inviting people to don their most Christmassy knits and make a donation to help children stay safe, healthy and learning.
At Castle View, the lounge was filled with bright jumpers, plenty of laughter and a festive buzz as homeowners welcomed friends, family and guests for coffee, cake and festive treats.
Every pound raised will support Save the Children’s work improving the lives of children facing hardship, adding Castle View’s contribution to the millions raised across the country through this annual campaign. The increase from £300 last year to over £400 this year reflects the continued generosity and community spirit that Castle View is known for.
A true team effort
The morning showcased the many talents within the Castle View community. A special knitting stall run by Jenny proved a real highlight, offering beautifully handmade items that were quickly snapped up in support of the cause. The “Pop Up” shop, kindly brought in by Jean and Sam, added to the shopping fun and helped boost the total raised.
Homeowners contributed an impressive spread of cakes, mince pies and biscuits, while Castle View provided the tea and coffee that kept everyone refreshed throughout the morning. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team helped set up, serve and clear away afterwards, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that guests could simply relax and enjoy themselves.

Christine and Chris, who helped co-ordinate the morning, shared their heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in making the event such a success. They extended particular appreciation to Kevin, Janet, Nicky, Melanie, Tracey and Mark for their support on the day and in the lead-up to the event.
Most of all, they expressed how wonderful it was to see so many homeowners, friends and families come together – not only to raise funds, but to enjoy time in each other’s company at this special time of year.
With over £400 now on its way to Save the Children, the Castle View community can be proud of the difference their festive fun will help to make.
