Castle View Comes Together For Macmillan Coffee Morning
Castle View homeowners, residents and staff came together for this year’s Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, raising over £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Coffee Morning has become something of a Castle View tradition in recent years, and once again it was very much driven by our homeowners. They got behind the event from the start, helping to organise the morning, spread the word and, most importantly, bake plenty of delicious cakes and treats for everyone to enjoy.
The Bistro was full of people catching up over coffee and cake, with everyone getting together for a relaxed and enjoyable morning. It was a lovely opportunity to see familiar friends, meet newer neighbours and enjoy the kind of community spirit that Castle View is known for.
Members of our Craft Club also shared some of their recent work, which helped add another lovely touch to the relaxed atmosphere of the morning
It was especially nice to see some of our newer homeowners taking part for the first time. Everyone got involved in their own way…. whether that was baking, donating, helping out on the day or simply coming along to enjoy a slice of cake and good company.
Every cake sold helped support Macmillan’s vital work, and the final total of £600 was a brilliant result.
“It was a really lovely morning and a great example of the spirit we have here at Castle View,” said Kevin Rose, General Manager. “Our homeowners really lead the way with events like this. They put so much thought, energy and enthusiasm into making them happen, and the range of cakes on offer was definitely impressive!
“It was also great to see newer homeowners getting involved and getting to know people. Raising such a great amount for Macmillan is a brilliant achievement, and a huge thank you goes to everyone who baked, donated, helped out and came along.”
Supporting charities and good causes is an important part of life at Castle View, and events like this show what can happen when people come together for something that matters.
