Homeowners Give Castle View Resounding Vote Of Confidence

Fantastic Survey Feedback

Castle View Retirement Living has received exceptionally strong feedback from its recent homeowners survey, with results showing high levels of satisfaction, trust and recommendation across the community.

The survey achieved an 81% response rate; a clear sign that homeowners are engaged and want to help shape the future of Castle View.

Headline results paint a very positive picture. A combined 100% of respondents reported being satisfied with their home, with 72% “very satisfied” and 28% “satisfied”.

Satisfaction with the team is even more striking: 87% of homeowners said they are very satisfied with staff, and when asked about staff friendliness, 94% rated it as excellent.

The survey confirms that Castle View is delivering on its core promise of independent living with support. An impressive 81% of homeowners feel the community supports their independence “very much. The sense of community is equally strong, with 64% describing it as excellent and 36% as good, and 94% of homeowners saying they would recommend Castle View to others. Social and shared spaces are also well regarded, with 94% very satisfied or satisfied with communal facilities and social spaces.

Supportive Comments

Comments collected alongside the scores highlight what this means in real life. Homeowners talk about “feeling safe and secure / never feel alone”, valuing the “privacy of our apartments but [we] know there is support if needed” and praising the “sense of community” and “management from the top down”.

Many describe the staff team as “much loved & appreciated & [feeling] like extended family & friends” and say that moving to Castle View was “the right” decision and “the best” they have made. Location, spacious apartments, 24-hour security and the balance of peace, quiet and social opportunities are all recurring themes.

The survey also gives Castle View clear guidance on where to focus next. While satisfaction with communal areas, catering, communications and facilities remains high, homeowners have called for a refresh of furniture and layout in the Sky Lounge and roof terrace with agreed deadlines through to September 2026.

Managing Director Karl Hallows says the results show a community that is prospering and one that the team is determined to keep improving. The survey, he notes, confirms that homeowners feel safe, supported and part of a genuine community, while still enjoying the independence that brought them to Castle View in the first place. At the same time, he emphasises that strong results are “not a reason to stand still”, and that the practical feedback on communal spaces, catering, communication and maintenance is already informing a clear programme of improvements.

Committed to Improvements

One theme the team is particularly keen to address is the perception, expressed by a small number of homeowners, that some aspects of the environment can occasionally feel closer to a care setting than an independent-living community. Hallows acknowledges that this perception matters and stresses that Castle View was designed as an independent-living development – something he wants reflected “in how the place looks, feels and operates every day”.

With a strong foundation of goodwill, a highly engaged homeowner community and a staff team that homeowners describe in glowing terms, Castle View is now focused on building on this positive platform. The next phase will be about making targeted, improvements while continuing to deliver the safety, independence, dignity and sense of community that homeowners value so highly.
