Classic Cars, Coffee and Cake: Drive It Day Returns to Castle View Windsor

Crowds flock to Drive Itt Day at Castle View

After a long winter spent in garages and under covers, April brings one of the most anticipated dates in the motoring calendar — National Drive It Day. Once again, Castle View Windsor will play host as a welcoming coffee stop for classic car enthusiasts on Sunday 26th April, from 10am to 2pm.

A scenic stop for classic cars

Just a mile from the centre of Windsor, and close to major routes including the M4, M25, Windsor Great Park, Legoland and Ascot, Castle View offers a perfect pit stop for those touring across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey and West London.

Classic vehicle owners are invited to drop in, stretch their legs and admire an impressive line-up of vintage vehicles, while visitors can simply enjoy the display and soak in the atmosphere.

Coffee, cake and community

“Castle View is ideally placed to offer a coffee stop to those classic car enthusiasts taking part in Drive It Day around the region,” says Karl Hallows, Managing Director at Castle View. “Last year we welcomed more than 50 stunning sports and saloon cars — and we can promise more of the same this year, complete with delicious homemade cakes from our talented homeowners.”

How to take part

Drivers can purchase an official Drive It Day car plaque from as little as £12.50 via the Drive It Day website. There’s no need to pre-book — simply turn up and join in the fun. Groups planning to attend are kindly asked to call 07778 554666 to confirm arrival times.

Celebrating motoring heritage for a great cause

Organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC), National Drive It Day celebrates the One Thousand Mile Trial of 1900, the event that first demonstrated the potential of the motor car. Today, it remains an important celebration of Britain’s rich motoring history — and also helps raise funds for NSPCC’s Childline.

So, whether you’re behind the wheel of a classic, or simply love admiring them, join us at Castle View Windsor on Sunday 26th April for good coffee, great company, and a shared passion for preserving automotive heritage.
