Homeowners Launch Their Charity Cookbook

With 44 pages packed with delicious recipes, this special cookbook compiled by the homeowners living at Castle View Windsor has something for everyone.  From no bake Cheesecakes, a wonderful Tarat de Naranja and an indulgent Whisky Ginger Cream, some recipes have been passed down through the generations while others offer a more contemporary take on traditional classics.

The idea for the cookbook followed the success of the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ fundraiser for Macmillan, which was hosted by the homeowners, friends and colleagues at Castle View, who then decided to take their baking passion to a new level and raise even more funds for charity.

Championed by homeowner Chris who said: “The idea quickly emerged came from the highly successful coffee morning we held earlier this year which raised £500. This showcased an array of delectable treats produced by fellow homeowners, family and friends, demonstrating the creativity and skill here at Castle View. The idea to harness these talents and enthusiasm and raise even more money for charity by publishing a cookbook.”

Added Karl Hallows, CEO of Castle View: “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support we receive from our homeowners, colleagues and the wider community of Windsor and this cookbook is a wonderful way to celebrate that spirit while continuing to support charity.”
