Supporting Generation Joy: Reimagining Later Life Together

At Castle View, we’re delighted to announce that we’re joining forces with other Integrated Retirement Communities (IRCs) across the UK for Generation Joy – a new campaign that’s all about celebrating the possibilities of later life.

This is a unique, nationwide effort to shine a light on the energy, connection, and independence that IRCs like ours make possible every day.

What is Generation Joy?

Generation Joy is a UK-wide campaign designed to challenge old-fashioned ideas about retirement and show just how rewarding and lively life in an IRC can be. Together with other communities, we’re sharing stories, hosting events, and giving people a real look at what modern retirement living is all about.

The campaign is being orchestrated and managed The Associated Retirement Community Operators (by ARCO), the UK’s leading body representing the UK for Integrated Retirement Community sector. ARCO is bringing together communities like Castle View across the country to deliver this coordinated campaign, ensuring a unified message and maximum impact.

This campaign is reaching far and wide, with features and stories appearing in some of the UK’s best-loved magazines—Good Housekeeping, Prima, and Red. Through paid media, editorial content, and a brand-new interactive map, we’re making it easier than ever for people to discover the benefits of IRC living and find a community that’s right for them.

Why Generation Joy, and Why Now?

People are living longer, healthier lives, and the idea of retirement is changing fast. Today’s retirees want more than just a place to live – they want to stay active, make new friends, and keep growing. Generation Joy is about showing the world that IRCs like Castle View offer all this and more: independence, support, and a true sense of belonging.

How Are We Getting the Word Out?
  • National Media Coverage: Stories from Castle View and other IRCs will be featured in Good Housekeeping, Prima, and Red, reaching millions of readers across the country.
  • Editorial and Paid Media: We’re sharing real-life stories, homeowner interviews, and expert advice through both paid and editorial content, helping to paint a true picture of life in an IRC.
  • Interactive Map: A new online tool at www.findmyirc.co.uk makes it easy for families to explore and find the right IRC for their needs.

What’s Happening at Castle View?

We’re proud to be part of this campaign, and our homeowners are at the heart of it. From lively social events to inspiring personal stories, we’ll be sharing what makes Castle View special. Whether it’s a new hobby, a favourite club, or simply the joy of good company, we’re excited to showcase the everyday moments that make life here so rewarding.

How You Can Get Involved?
  • Homeowners: We’d love to hear your stories! Whether it’s a cherished memory, a new friendship, or a favourite activity, your experiences are what make Castle View shine.
  • Families: If you’re considering the next step for yourself or a loved one, now’s the perfect time to discover what Castle View and other IRCs have to offer.
  • Community Partners: We welcome local groups, healthcare professionals, and organisations to join us in spreading the word about joyful, independent living.

Measuring Success

We believe the best measure of success is simple: more people understanding what IRCs are and how they can transform later life. We’ll be tracking the growth of awareness throughout the campaign, and we hope you’ll help us share the message.
