Castle View recently welcomed team members from the TrustonTap Support & Care network for a practical training session centred on our homeowner wellbeing, connection and everyday support.
Led by Deep Relaxation consultant Uyen Vu, the session introduced simple techniques designed to help carers ease tension, restore calm and ensure homeowner wellbeing. Drawing on methods she learned in Vietnam, Uyen’s approach is hands-on and accessible, showing how small, manageable techniques can be built into everyday life.
One of the most memorable parts of the session was seeing how ordinary household items, including keys, can be used in gentle massage techniques to encourage relaxation and self-care. It was a useful reminder that wellbeing support does not always have to be complicated to be effective.
TrustonTap is Castle View’s preferred care provider
, delivering flexible, at‑home support for our homeowners needing a little extra help while continuing to live independently in their own apartments. Castle View itself is not a care home; instead, homeowners live in their own properties within a vibrant retirement community, with the option to arrange tailored care and support through trusted providers such as TrustonTap, if and when their needs change.Attendees also had the opportunity to spend time touring Castle View, viewing apartments, shared spaces and meeting members of the team to learn more about the community here in Windsor. Bringing local partners into the building in this way helps create stronger relationships, shared understanding and a more joined-up approach to supporting older people.
We hope this will be one of many opportunities to welcome TrustonTap and other local organisations back to Castle View in the months ahead, whether for shared events or informal community engagement. These connections are an important part of how we continue to build a warm, well-supported and outward-looking community.
