Castle View is situated on Helston Lane, approximately a mile west of Windsor town centre. Windsor has excellent facilities ranging from the historic castle area, extensive shops and restaurants, the Theatre Royal and a comprehensive leisure centre. Extensive transport links provide easy access to London by rail and coach, and quick access to the motorway network with the M4 less than 2 miles away. Local buses provide easy access to the centre of Windsor and to the surrounding area.
Within a third of a mile of Castle View there is a Tesco Express, a corner shop and two petrol stations. In the centre of Windsor you will find an impressive array of shops ranging from smart high street names to smaller independent shops. There are all the usual services such as chemists, hardware shops and hairdressers etc.
It is hard to find a street in Windsor without a restaurant, there is so much choice. In fact, there were 159 at the last count! You can enjoy a quick bite, a pub lunch or a full formal dining experience.
Windsor Great Park is a beautiful 5,000 acres of deer inhabited parkland, probably most memorable for the long tree lined royal drive up to the Castle.
The River Thames passes through Windsor giving rise to plenty of riverside cafés, restaurants and pretty viewing points, as well as possibilities for boat trips.
Windsor is home to the Theatre Royal, situated opposite the Castle. It stages a variety of professional productions throughout the year.
Windsor has a comprehensive leisure centre with fitness swimming pool, leisure swimming pool, exercise classes and gym.
